LifeSavers
Nabisco's Life Savers have long been a colorful candy favorite.
Part of their appeal has been in the familiar pocket-friendly rolled
package. But what about other usage opportunities, such as candy
dishes, desk drawers, or car glove boxes? To expand the occasions
of use for one of America's favorite candies, Dean Lindsay designed
a convenient film bag to hold individually wrapped candies. The
new, slightly larger LifeSavers are now available in a convenient
bulk form that consumers are eating up.
But Dean didn't stop there. His next assignment for LifeSavers
was to create a seasonal package concept that combines sample packs
of LifeSavers with appealing Valentine cards. The design is a fresh
combination of traditional brand equity with up-to-the-minute graphics
that tap into the preferences and mood of todays children.
